Running Antispyware looks for paperport msi installer

A

Anthony Vernede

I downloaded and installed the file from Microsoft and
when I try to run Antispyware I get a message looking for
my Paperport Installer CD for the paperport.msi file.

WTF does Antispyware have to do with my Paperport
Installer and why is it invoking a setup of an installed
app that is in no way connected.

Any advice would be appreciated, I don't much care for
Antispyware Beta (I have 2 very good commercial anti
spyware apps) but I support a lot of users ina large
network environment and they could do with an easy and
free download so I am testing it out first for stability
etc.

Microsoft Antispyware doesn't care about Paperport, but the Windows
Installer has found something stuck in its craw.

If you are using this app, and have it installed, and have the installation
media--I'd do a repair install of Paperport.

That should get Windows Installer to believe that the install is properly
completed, and let it get on with the next job--Microsoft Antispyware.
