Running an application with Admin rights

Hi, I could use a little help here.

I have 5 workstations running Windows XP Pro peer-to-peer in a workgroup. I
installed QuickBooks on the workstations and want all users to access the
same shared database. The problem I am having is QB's requires the user to
have admin rights to the local workstation. Is there any way to configure XP
to always run QB's or any application for that matter, with admin rights
even though users only have limited rights? I looked at the Run As option
and unless there is something I missed, it requires that someone
authenticate with admin rights, and the rights are only elevated until the
application is closed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Alvin

I appreciate your help, but this doesn't answer my question.

I am looking for a solution in Windows XP to configure any application to
run with elevated (Admin) rights regardless of the users local rights.

Thanks,
Alvin

I am having a similar issue as Alvin does not with QB's but with a game
called "Monopoly" which is located on D drive. Each Drive is designated for
its own purpose D: is Disignated from Games only. I am the administrator on
XP Home, I have emailed Atari and they gave me directions so that the other
users can use the game under their user names (Limited Access). I have
created the shortcuts for the game on each user. They then said to right
click and Run As: the boxes that are checked are "Current users" and right
below that is also checked "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized
program activity" What Atari told me to do is select "The Following user:"
Enter the Administor Name, My name appears automatically in the pull down
window. I enter my password and Okay. I can select the shortcut from the
desktop and the game will start perfect no problems no errors.

This is where I need your help and I beleive if I understand Alvin's
Question correctly, but with a different software, is....... in the Run
As, under "the following user" Administrator Name. How can I have the pswrd
automatically stored with out having to be there in person to enter the pswrd
or to give them the pswrd. These are Limited Access Users which I do not
want to have Administrative Rights But the only way the game will operate is
with Administrative Rights, And if I give them my pswrd what is the point to
having them have limited access on the computer.

In one of the postings by Bruce Chamber's he suggested to do this:
"If your game or application works with admin accounts, but not with
limited accounts, you can fix it to allow limited users to access the
program files folder with "change" capability rather than "read" which
is the default.

C:\>cacls "Program Files\appfolder" /e /t /p users:c

where "appfolder" is the folder where the application is installed.

If you wish to undo these changes, then run

C:\>cacls "Program Files\appfolder" /e /t /p users:r"

I dont know if that will help because my problem with the Application is on
my D and not on my C drive.

If you can help or help me find the answer to this question I would be
greatfull and so would my 3 teenagers, I have been working on this for 3
days now since I have been contacted by Atari and nothing seems to be working.
