I am running Vista Home Premium and it seems I am running in 32-bit mode.
How can I run under 64-bit, and what are the implications of doing so?

First of all, you have to have a 64-bit capable CPU. Do you? Next,
you have to get the 64-bit version of Vista. The home versions don't
automatically come with one. A third factor is that the 64-bit version
has a meager supply of drivers right now. If it catches on (XP-64 never
did)
companies may be more sanguine about supporting it. Unless you have more
than 4GB RAM and use very large databases, right now there's not much point
in using Vista 64.

I do have a 64-bit capable CPU, but only 2Gb of RAM. Also, it doesn't sound
like there is much point in it anyway given the uses I put my PC to. Thanks
for the response.
