I got windows vista home premium. I'm trying to install a software called "PC
Tutor Learn windows Vista and Office Deluxe". I guess is already installed
but when I am going to run it I get the message mentioned above. I have
mailed the software's Support Department and hey don't get with the problem.
What can be?

0x80040e01 is a standard OLE DB error code, DB_E_CANTCONVERTVALUE. This
means an application has tried to read or write some data to a database, but
cannot convert the datatype to the right kind - for example, the database
wants a date 24/09/2007 but it gets a number like 2454102, or it wants a
number like 123 and gets a string like "George".

This is a problem you really need the vendor of the software to help you
with. Whatever causes it will be very closely related to their application.
There is nothing simple you can configure in Windows, to fix this error. If
the vendor's support guys won't help, ask them again - louder.
