rune time, abnormal program terminated

when i try and load a game i can play it for a small
amount of time then i get taken back to windows.

when i get to windows it gives me a message saying 'rune
time, abnormal program terminated' then my game closes
down!

can anyone explain why this is. my computer is new and
has the power to run the games i want to run!!!

What games are you playing. You may have to back off on the resolution
and use XP compatability Mode
if they are older games.
