Rundll32.exe holding sysdm.cpl open

Hi,

I have found that I'm unable to access the System icon in the control panel.
I double click and nothing happens. I think the reason this is happening is
because for some reason rundll32.exe is using that file.

A look at the process list shows :

RUNDLL32.EXE "C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe"
Shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL sysdm.cpl
3652

Also if I terminate rundll32.exe from the task manager I can then access the
system icon, so that's definatley the cause.

The question therefore is what's causing rundll32.exe to use the System
control panel icon and then not let it go.

Thanks.

I don't really know where I stand here, but see if you can stop this process
from running via msconfig.

Thanks - all sorted. It was restore.exe that was put in by the 3com
bluetooth driver. Not sure what it does but taking it out of the startup
section of the registry fixes things.
