Hi,

I am having similar problem. Having identified the errant StartUp line
using Run>msconfig, i now get a mesage that windows will start up in
"non-standard" form. If I try to start in "standard" form, the error message
occurs as the sartup program is automatically turning back on the errant line
in the msconfig/startup list.

How do i remove a line instruction from the startup list?

Sorry, please reply to this message [problem details there], not earlier one
which has a dead e-mail postbox.

Kind regards

When you see the MSConfig Selective startup screen after logon, click "Don't
show this message....." and click ok.

Jennifer,

The error is caused by an orphan entry at startup. Open MSCONFIG from
Start/Run and uncheck the line reading:

RUNDLL32.exe "C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll"

Or, get a copy of Autoruns utility and delete the above line from
startup. Download Autoruns from www.sysinternals.com

Does the message actually mention C:\Windows\Resources\RamDrive.dll ?
Do you have a Ram Drive? A true Ram Drive might use Ramdrive.sys, but
not the aforementioned file. I suspect this is the cause:

It's possible some malware was deleted by your a/v software, but the
reference to the file was not removed from the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop. If you
remove it and there's a problem, double-click the .reg file you exported
to the Desktop and it'll be added to the registry again. You can create
a restore point before editing the registry too.

You could click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG, click OK, click the StartUp
tab, and deselect the item(s). When you restart the computer, you will
be warned that you're running in the Diagnostic mode; click to not alert
you again, and OK out. You won't see the message again. But I think
it's best to just remove the references from the registry.
