bewildered.

I have clicked something in a chinese site by mistake and
ended up with a stack of malware, etc. I got rid of it with
ad-aware and all seems fine. But when I start computer a
box with a big red cross comes up with:
RUNDLL Error loading c:\Progra~1\3721\helper.dll
The specific Module could not be found.
Is this a trojan/or , or part of Windows? Please how do I
get rid of this box on startup. Something simple for an
oldie. My system restore now won't let me go back either.
Many thanks for any help.

Thank you so much. It worked and you made my day.Great
program,Marko. And thanks Kelly Too.

Hi!

check autoruns from sysinternals (
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/autoruns.shtml ) as it lists all
the applications that are launched at startup. You should be able to find
and delete the one that references helper.dll

cheers,

It's not a valid windows XP file. Go to Start | Run | Msconfig. On the
startup tab uncheck any reference to it. Run the advised spyware
checking programs.

Most welcome. Glad to hear you have it sorted. Thanks for the feedback.
