Run time Error

Ever since I installed Windows XP, I get a little error
box that pops up a LOT. It says " Regit Run Time
Error '53' File not found." What is this, and how do I
make it go away? Thanks.

Hi,

Is this error comming up when openning or closing some application like
word or excel? whats the complete error message you are getting.
If it is associated with word Start Word with the /a switch. This problem
is most likely caused by some hardware drivers or third party software
conflicts. We can perform a Windows Safe Mode to isolate this problem.

Hey thanks for your reply. It's doesn't happen when
opening or closing anything. It's totally random. Happens
all the time, even when nothing is open and it's just
sitting on desktop. It says "Regit Run time error '53'
File not found." and all there is to click is "ok".

Hi,

Seem to be caused by some third party software. Plz check for the virus and
spyware. you may try HijackThis program to scan the system.

Is there any software named Regit installed on the machine? if so, problem
is with that software.
Also confirm Is that regit or regedit?

There is no program called "regit" and I don't have any
virus' on my PC. I have a firewall, and automatic virus
scans, plus I do a deep virus scan manually every week.
This has been happening on my computer since I installed
windows XP. Never had the problem before, and it started
before I had ever went online or installed any programs.
And once again, it is completely random. It happens *at
least* 3 times a day. It's a small pop up box, probably
2"x3" in size. It says "Regit" on the title bar. In the
box it says "Runtime error '53' File not found." then it
has one button which says "ok" Thanks for your reply!

Hi,
Thanks for the information. This error might be related to some third party
software . It might have bugs or might not be compatible with windows xp.

please check the software installed on the system as this issue is related
to a third party software.
Computer might be trying to run the application at start up and or the
application is run in background since it does not have the required
installation files, gives the error.

Here is one such example i.e if you have publishpdf std. on windows xp pro
then you may resolve this by installinga patch given by the software vendor.
