Run Time Error in Internet Explorer 6.0

J

Jim Tingley

I am constantly receiving the following errors whenever a
screen changes in IE 6.0. The message is:

A run time error has occured.
Do you wish to debug?

Line 1
Invalid Character

Then I have a yes or no option (to debug).

The line number will change from time to time and I may
get the error popping up a few times before the new page
will load.

Any idea what is causing this and how to stop it?!?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Jim,

If the Web page you are viewing contains script errors, you may continue to
be prompted to debug the script.

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. On the Advanced tab, click to select the Disable Script Debugging check
box in the Browsing section.
4. Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"
5. Click OK

If this happens to all the sites, it means that the problem is with the
script engine in your system .Then reinstall Internet Explorer.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
