run-time error 53 fix

I installed an undated version of Christian Desktop. I
get this Run-time error '53' that says: File not found:
vb6stkit.dll

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how I fix this
quick and easy.

You will need to contact Christian Desktop's tech support for help with
their product. They will know what the error means, if there is a
patch, or a workaround.

Duane:

You need a copy of the updated VB6 runtime DLL file. That file can
usually be found by doing a web search using Google or some other
search engine. Just enter "vb6stkit.dll" into the search engine.
When you have downloaded it, place it in your c:\windows\system32
folder.

When you received your updated version of Christian Desktop, you
should have also received the needed support files. Suggest you
contact their tech support.
 
I also have the same problem, only it occurred after I installed a program
called emp3 ripper. The program didn't work, installed a whole bunch of
spyware and a fairly benign virus, all of which I have removed (I hope),
using spybot, ad-aware, Norton Antivirus, and windows installer. However
now, I am often getting a message from a program called terrabyte saying ;

Run-time error 53
File not found

I checked and terrabyte has been on my computer for a year... I figure that
the program I installed probably removed the vb6stkit.dll that another post
mentions, however if anyone could tell me how to detect and remove unneeded
processes, and what the program terrabyte is and does, I would appreciate
that. Thanks a lot.

question. If the info was there I wouldn't have asked. If anyone who
actually knows, or knows a specific site would like to reply that would be
nice. No more smart ass responses please.

Maybe you should have said in your post that you checked - would have
saved Kelly some time in trying to help you out. Figure it out on your
own.

Where did you say any of this?

Lets see what this moron has done.

1. Did a me too post. Therefore people will assume you have the same problem as the original poster, even though you don't.

2. Did not provide details on how to duplicate the problem.

3. Did not say what you expected to happen.

Then the moron, after being advised on troubleshooting strategies, spits the dummy. The only smartarse here is you. F*ck off.
 
OK, you know what, forget about the removing the processes, there's a bunch
of things I could do. I thought I would try to figure out what terrabyte is,
and for part of that I asked what terrabyte was in case there is anyone
knowledgeable about the subject, or like perhaps a specific web page that has
some really useful information.

As far as the time I could have saved kelly that's about 20 seconds, if
she's a slow typer. She didn't even take the time to check if any of the
searches he entered lead to anything.

Anyway, don't worry I'm sure I'll do fine without having someone else to
type in yahoo and google search words for me.
