Run PPC/CE emulator in XP SP2

S

schneider

How do I get the emulator to run in XP pro SP2.
I checked the KB and only specifies a boit.ini fix by removing a command
line switch which is not in my boot.ini.

I recently purchase XP pro, which had SP2 on the disk. Previously was
running win2000 with no issues.

Thanks,

Schneider

And you're not running any security applications or services other than
those which come with XPSP2?

I don't recognize the error as something that is easily fixed. Have you
tried reinstalling at least the Smart Device support in VS.NET?

No extra security junk, no virus/firwall junk..

I can try reinstalling the Smart Device support in VS.NET

I havent tried using my actual PPC yet either..

I think that your diagnosis of what is causing the problem is correct. It's
fairly quick and easy to uninstall and reinstall Smart Device support, so
I'd try that. If that's unsuccessful, it's probably time to use one of your
product support incidents for VS.NET and see if PSS can help.
