Run night time scan when user is logged off.

I run this beta on a few PCs with problem users who keep
downloading stuff they shouldn't. This thing works like
a champ as far as I can tell. I have MSAS confgured to
do a night time scan at 1am each night. This only seems
to work if the user is logged in. Anyone have any luck
with getting the scans to run while the user is logged
out?

Thanks!

Curt,
I am having a similar issue, in that I have set the
program to run at 0200hrs, but no one is logged on at
that time. My operating system is Windows XP and all the
other programs that run unattended have to be set up to
runas "administrator," unfortunately, that option must be
set in "Windows Task Scheduler." If you know the exact
name of the executable that must be run to initiate the
scheduled scan, you can set it up using the task
scheduler. I cannot determine which executable to select.
I emailed MicroSoft thinking they would answer that
simple question (which executable to select), but they
didn't and recommended I come here. If you know the
program, please tell me and we both can set it up using
the task scheduler.

I think Mikolaj found this about running Microsoft AntiSpyware as a service:
You have a limited user account running the application looking for spyware
on all files and folders. This includes the administrator account which
limited users may not be able to access. So we have to approach this
carefully in order to remove the spyware from all locations, but also
preserve file and folder permissions and access.

In short, we are addressing this for a future release, but it involves some
major coding and testing.

This article describes the process of creating own services:
