Hello;
I get the following message displayed on the deskptop when I boot my
machine:
"RUN DLL error; Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL. The
specified module could not be found". If I click OK on the message it
disappears, only to appear again at the next boot-up.
The message arose following the successful removal of a Trojan Horse Dialer
17.M, by AVG Anti-Virus. As far as I can determine my machine is running OK.
I am running windows XP Pro in a LAN, behind a DSL modem and a Netgear
Router.
How do I get rid of this? Thanks for the help.

Hello Parkman1947;
Your reference worked like a charm. Much obliged.
Sincerely

two ways to fix this or three if you like to edit the registery.

1. find that .dll file it wants to load at start up using the find command
then copy and paste to that newdot*****.dll place its looking for it.
2 down load a program called highjackthis and remove the entery that its
asking for that .dll.
3 edit the registery using regedit remember to back it up before playing
with it.

You will need to do some reading if you don't understand about regedit or
highjackthis both do the same thing but I like highjackthis easy to use.
