Run Box history

Hi, I have three PCs running WinXP SP3.
In two of them the "run" box shows previous commands that have been used,
but one always is blank on boot up.

I have searched everywhere I can think of, to find out how to cancel the
"feature" that keeps clearing the run box but to no avail.

Can someone point me in the right direction ?
TIA for any help

Thanks, TweakUI is set OK, looks like I will have to delve into the
Registry.
