Run As

I continue to receive notifications (pop ups) of the "Run As" dialog
box. This even though I am the administrator and even though I am not
aware of any software needing installation. I run Sophos Anti-virus
(updated hourly) and Spyware detector). This morning there were 3
separate pop ups waiting for input. I always say cancel but this is
getting annoying. Has anyone experienced this? Solution? Warnings?

I can send a picture of it if anyone wishes to see it.

Yes, we hear it all the time. 'I run this, that and the other anti-X
program, so I can't possibly be infected.' Even when the machine shows
typical signs of infection.

And so....your solution is...?

Interesting...for sure. I had read some reviews before I bought it
where it said the best was Spyware Detector.

You can always find good reviews for any product! What is difficult to
discover is whether the writer has a vested interest. A good spin doctor
(akas public relations consultant) is a necessity if you wish to sell an
indifferent product. I have never seen it recommended in these
newsgroups and recommendations for other products are common place.
However, the merits or non-merits of Spyware Detector are really off
topic with regard to your basic question.

Hope this helps.
