run as administrator

Hi,

I created an Administrator account on a Vista installation.

But still when I click on programs such as mmc.exe I get misleading error
message that "\windows\system32\mmc.exe path is invalid or task does not
exist" but when I right-click and select "run as administrator" it works ok.

I should not have to specify "run as administrator" since I am logged on as
an administrator.

I presume other things simply don't work for the same reason: authentication
is failing when it should not!

How do I resolve this issue?

That did it.

Now not only can I run mmc.exe, et al without selecting "run as
administrator" but I can now instal the .net 3.0 demos and samples package!

Something tells me UAC will be permanently terminated.

yep, took me about 30 seconds to figure that one out too. Once you see it
in action, you understand those US Mac TV ads.
"you are coming to a sad realization...cancel or allow?"
