Hmmm Im not sure if that is the best way to do it though...

If you know that a hardware driver is included in the OS why not leave it
plugged in?

I have not had problems either with installs... in fact you can save time if
you make an image
and then use the image to restore a drive instead of reinstalling everything
from scratch.

My main objection with vista is its design... not the bugs...

Glad to see you are enjoying yourself by insulting me

when im not serious you dont like it
when im serious you dont like it....

that leaves me but one option:

Crazy mode!... get ready to duck......you know; wear your fake bill.....

c disagree with a lot of what you say on here, as we all disagree with each
other!
But how you install an OS is the way I have always done it too. Only
peripherals: mouse, keyboard, monitor. Always works.
And when installing I leave the Admin username and password blank, that way
my user account is the administrator
I also disable windows Defender; it is a shocker!
My gripe with Vista is time and/or expense. To burn 350MBs to CD using Vista
took one and a 1/2 hours. Why should I be expected to buy Nero 7 when I have
a perfectly good Nero 6.6 that won't work with Vista?
I only installed Vista myself to service customers who have probs with it;
and a major prob seems to be with the OEM computers, like Acer, etc. (not
with a full install ourselves, whether it be retail or OEM)
A Business in Australia is offering some people 2 weeks to see whether they
like vista or not, and there are a lot of returns. Officeworks is 1 company
that is doing that. So, confidence is lacking
