how to apply a rule to a folder from which mails in that folder will
automatically be forwarded to another mail id. here ill be manually
forwarding desired mails into that particular folder. pls get back with a
solution quickly

Rules will only work automatically on the Inbox. AFAIK...
You can certainly set up a rule to do what you want, but you will have to
apply it manually.
 
thank you for the reply but sorry to ask you that what did u mean by "apply
it manually" that means we have no other option wherein we can forward the
message from a specific folder to other mail id. pls help me out in solving
this issue
im using outlook 2007 version with XP

I have been using an add-in for Outlook called Auto Reply Manager,
which can automatically reply with a desired message, automatically
forward emails and many other features which i think you will find
useful.

You can set up a rule to forward mail in a particular folder to another
email address, but it won't happen automatically. You will need to go into
Rules and Alerts and manually start the rule.
