I have subscribed to an email list (5 of them) for
security. can i create a rule that says "move emails from
@xyz.com to Security(the folder)"? i use outlook 2002(XP)

Tools > Rules Wizard
Click New
Click 'Start from blank rule'
Click 'Next'
check 'with specific words in the senders address'
Click the underlined 'specific words' and enter @xyz.com
Click Add
Click OK
Click Next
Check the 'move it to the specified folder'
click on the underlined ;specified folder'
select the folder from the list (or create a new one)
Click OK
Scroll down and check the 'stop processing more rules'
and click Finish

should do the job

Cheers

thanks for the advice but the rules wizard makes me use
the sender's add & in a mailing list there could 1000's of
them. the name of the mailing list server is usually in
the "to" field & is always constant. that's the field i am
after but so far the rules wizard doesn't seem to afford
me the oppotunity to use that field. any other way would
be greatly appreciated.

thanks.
