Ruler set up in Word

I'm on Word 2007, new for me, and in previous versions, the ruler included
both the inches as well as a line count to the side of the document. (Not
actual line numbers in the document.) Does anyone know how to set this up in
this new word?

Thank you.

Perhaps you will get what you are after if you change to Print Layout view.
However, you may first need to click on the Pizza Button and then click on
the Word Options button at the bottom of the dialog and then click on the
Advanced item and go down to the Display section and check the box against
"Show vertical ruler in Print Layout view"

Hope this helps.

Doug,

Right clicking on the print layout button at the bottom of the screen
brought up the option of turning on "vertical page position" and this worked
beautifully. Thanks for the guidance.
