Rule to mark as read when item moved to deleted items?

How to create a rule to cause any item to be marked as read when it is
deleted or moved to the deleted items folder?

If the rule itself moves it, you can add the "mark it as read" action. If
you mean mark it as read when YOU delete it, that's not possible.

I was hoping for when deleted and not moved there by a rule. Thanks anyway.
the goal is to see only mail in the Inbox that is Unread when clicking the
Unread Mail search folder. I guess I can limit that search folder to Inbox
or create a new search folder only for Inbox (unread) ?

Modifying the Unread Mail search folder or creating one that is limite to
the Inbox are both easily done.
