Hi I created a rule with the following:

Where my name is in "To or Cc box"
and from "List of people"
and with "specific subject" in the subject
have server reply using "myresponseemail"
and move it to the "myspecific" folder

Everything works find except "have server reply using "myresponseeemai". I
have to go to Rules and Alerts and run it manually. Why and how can this be
fixed. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Microsoft Exchange disables automatic replies to the Internet by default,
so you may want to speak to your Exchange administrator first, since the
rule runs just fine manually.

Can you please explain. I looked in this forum to see if I could find
anything and I found some fixes by resetting srs-file, Fix corruption when
using an Exchange account. It still does not run automatically. Do you know
if there is a way around this? thank you.

Ok. Let me try to explain.

You are connecting to an Exchange server, correct?

Talk to the person who runs your Exchange server because rules that send
messages to the Internet won't work by default. In other words, the only
way that rule works is if you do Run Rules Now. It won't work automatically.

Your Exchange Administrator needs to enable Automatic Replies.

1. Open Exchange System Manager
2. Select Internet Message Formats under Global Settings
3. Double click on DEFAULT in the Right pane of the MMC
4. Select the Advanced tab
5. Select "Allow Automatic Replies"
