RTF2 Control

I added this to the previous question; however, I have decided to start a new
post so that hopefully somone picks it up and is able to answer.

I have the RTF2 Control box all in place related to a memo field, but when I
include this field in a report, a whole lot of code comes through with the
text, rather than just the text. Eg:

{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang5129{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\f
charset0 MS Sans Serif;}}
{\colortbl ;\red0\green0\blue0;}
{\*\generator Riched20
5.50.99.2010;}\viewkind4\uc1\pard\cf1\f0\fs16 This is a
test.\par
}

Obvioulsy when we are printing out reports, we do not want all of the code!
Is there a way around this??

Also, in the table format and in queries a line of code - no text - is
displayed. Eg:
{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang5129{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 MS Sans
Serif;}}
