When my computer with Windows XP Home Edition, SP2 starts up, i get the
following error:
RT error 339: component regicon.ocx or one of its dependencies not
currently registered: a file is missing or invalid:
What does this means and how can I get rid of the error,
Thanks,
Steve

Basically, something is called to start with Windows and it is failing
and that's why you get the error message. You need to find out what it
is. Use the System Configuration Utility to see what starts with
Windows.

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab
and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply
and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time
you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick
the box that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".

Do not stop services this way! You can look at them to see what is
starting, but only use Run>services.msc [enter] to work with services.

You can look up what you find by Googling the name and/or looking at
some of these sites:
