RSVP Error?

Scott Harker

Am receiving an error in my "System" log of Event Viewer and would like an
approach to correct.

The Error Message reads: "QoS RSVP has failed to find any interfaces with
traffic control enabled. Install QoS traffic control services via network
and dial-up connections."

I am assuming the reference is to the "Network and Dial-up Connections:
folder but am unable to identify any information tied to this particular
message.

Any clarification and/or the correct approach to rectify would be
appreciated.

Any takers?

Hi Scott,

Check the properties of each of your network and dial-up connections. If
any have the QOS packet Scheduler listed on any interface - go ahead and
remove it.
Also check Add/Remove Programs then Add Remove Windows Components, then
Networking Services/Details and make sure QOS Admission Control Service is
not installed.

Thanks,

Mark, Checked the Properties of all connections (all tabs) and found no QoS
Packet Scheduler listed. Networking Services/Details lists only TCP/IP and
RIP Listener.

Any other thoughts?

Scott
