rss feed creator - not reader

P

*ProteanThread*

ok, so i am obviously no web programmer. know nothing about xml (rss is
not pure xml but only a subset, IIRC).

is there an rss creator to create the xml needed for newsfeeds?

i wish to put something some kind of rss feed up on my own site (no its
not another dime a dozen freeware site but another dime a dozen retro site)

is there such a program ?

can open office do this ?

Darned if I know. Try looking for information at:
<http://directory.google.com/Top/Ref...es/Cataloguing/Metadata/RDF/Applications/RSS/>
or
<http://dmoz.org/Reference/Libraries...es/Cataloguing/Metadata/RDF/Applications/RSS/>

The "researchbuzz" search engine newsletter posts dozens of tips about
RSS, most about accessing existing content but some about tools:

Jeez... this question was answered before it was even posted to ACF...
Google for the Garrett thread that was started a few days back, BillR
and myself did post links to programs that can help you make RSS-feeds
(and at least one of them works... the real free one).

thx. how, um, embarassed i was to find out that phpNuke does this
already - but it would be nice to do it outside the webportal.

@Burnr: Yes, It makes creating a feed really "Super Simple", I'm
testing it since I "discovered" it and chapeau to the developer. Mine
is at: http://www.hazeleger.net/feed/thl.xml (I guess acf will be
communicating through feeds in a short while ;D)

@Protean... nah, never mind, but it ws funny to see a question being
answered nbefore it was even posted... and in a thread in which you
participated if I recall correctly.

Hi,

is there an rss creator to create the xml needed for newsfeeds?

As I said in the other thread FeedForAll http://www.feedforall.com works great
for me. It supports all RSS fields including the image tag, and is more
comprehensive than simple rss. Its very easy to use and is really very slick
IMO.
All best,
Bill R.

like i said, it seems phpNuke does do this job but it'd be nice if it were
outside the webportal.
