XP

Changed over from one PC to Another, one was running 98SE and the newer one
is running XP SP2.

When scanning a Membership card on the Newer PC, it come up with the User ID
ok but also comes up with Invalid Bar Code.

Both PC's are using the same Com port settings..

Bar Code type is 39.

Com settings are 9600 7.N.1

The User ID is logged into the data base.

Any one have a clue on this ..?

Thanks

Contact the provider of the program that the scanner is
talking to (the Membership database app).

Hardware sounds like it's working, programming
sounds like it's off...

Try running the software in Win9x compatibility mode. Select the
software.exe file, right-click Properties, Compatibility tab.
Otherwise, the vendor should have a solution for XP, in a perfect world!
