RRAS unable to detect dropped connection

Is there a known bug in RRAS wherein it cannot detect
whether a connection is still really active or not? A
dial-up user who gets disconnected is unable to reconnect
because RRAS thinks the connection is still active and
thus does not release the connection until you manually
reset the connection.

Can you please provide us more information on this issue so that we can help
you?

(1) When you say RRAS thinks the connection is still active, are you talking
about the server or the RRAS client?
(2) How did you validate that RRAS thinks the connection is active?
(3) Is callback facility enabled for that dial-up user?
(4) How did you reset the connection?
