Configuration

NT 4.0 Server, SP6a, RRAS Installed

Dialup using Windows client (windows dialer) -
successful. ie Modem handshake, authentication handshake,
successful connection.

Dialup using CU command in Unix. Modem handshake
successful. No prompt for username/password no further
prompts.

If I use CU command in Unix to connection to a local ISP -
am prompted for username/password and able to log on.

What have I missed if anything in the Windows Server RRAS
configuration. Very standard config - using TCP/IP only.

any suggestions greatly appreciated

Hi Peter,
My best bet is to demote security to clear text authentication. Only in this case you will get login/passwd prompt. In any other case what you will see is only a meaningless garbage (Actually the challenge for the encrypted auth).
