RRAS machine can not access local subnet

Hello.

I have encountered strange problem - when Routing and Remote Access
service is started I can not access local subnet (ping to and from
other machines gives "request timed out"). As soon as I stop RRAS
everything is fine.
route print and ipconfig /all output exactly the same config while
RRAS is started or stopped.

This happens on both W2K and W2K3. I have tried every relevant setting
that I could find without any success. What could be the problem?

Thanks a lot.

Is this on a server? Does it have 2 nics? Make sure you've done the regedits
in 292822.

Machine has only one NIC. 292822 does not apply since it describes
name resolution issues, but in my case I can't connect even by IP
address.
After digging some more I have found the problem - somehow in "IP
routing\General\Local Area Connection
properties\General\Inbound&Outbound filters" I have got filters
allowing only PPTP traffic. As soon as I created filter allowing all
traffic everything is fine. More info
