RPC-which download do I use?

how can i tell which download i need? i have windows xp
and use internet explorer 6.0--the options are for things
like sql server 2000??? please help
 
Go to run, on the start menu, and type "dxdiag" and that should display the
version of operating system you have

There is a post just a little way down from yours. The title is RPC ERRORS
PLEASE NOTE in all caps as shown. Just scroll down until you see your
version and click on the link and download the file and install it.
 
To stop the reboots: Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc. Scroll down
to Remote Procedure Call (RPC)/Logon/First Failure/Restart the Service.

Then close Windows Explorer, End Process in the Task Manager for
msblast.exe, run the edit on line 257 then run the patch listed below it:
