RPC Terminated Unexpectedly

Running Win XP on network with 3 computers. Occasionally in the morning I
will find on main pc error: "RPC (Remote Procedure Call) Terminated
Unexpectedly...System will Shut Down". What does this mean and what can I do
to remedy it? Thanks.

Are all machines on the network fully patched at Windows Update?

Are all WinXP machines running SP2?

Is a firewall and a reliable, fully updated anti-virus application running on all machines?
