I am running Acronis True Server 7.0 and when I try to
create a task to create an image, I get the following
error:
E00640068: Failed to create the scheduled task
Failed to create the scheduled task. Error #1722-
"The RPC server is unavailable.".
The RPC server in Administrative Tools/Services is set to
automatic and is running. Also, the Scheduled Tasks
service is set to automatic and is running.
I can create scheduled tasks manually in Windows (XP) and
they work without problems. I have tried to get help
from Acronis but they are unable to find a solution.
Also, I know that it is a Windows problem anyways and not
an Acronis one, as I have run this program before without
problems (something has happened to my system to cause
this) and in addition, I run two separate partions of
WindowsXP Pro. One is the regular one that is used for
most daily tasks and the other is for testing. True
Image works just fine in the one just for testing.
Most of the research that I have done online in regards
to RPC servers problems like mine is that normally it is
a network problem. I have a stand alone PC. No network
involved.
Anyone with ideas would be greatly appreciated!
