Tried another time server? For example...

TOCK.USNO.NAVY.MIL

Double click on the clock and select the Internet Time Tab

Type/paste in the above where it says server.

If that doesn't work perhaps...

Hi Ron,

Thank you for posting!

From your message, I know that you got the error message like "RPC Server
is unavailable" when you tried to synchronize the time from Internet Time
tab of Date and Time Properties dialog box.

Ron, based on my experience, such problem can be related to firewall
software. I wonder if you have any Internet Firewall software like
ZoneAlarm, Symantec Internet Security Software. If so, please disable or
remove them to isolate this problem. It will be better if you can disable
or remove any AntiVirus software as well. In case you have enabled Windows
XP built-in Internet Connection Firewall (ICF), please click the hyperlink
before and view the article in Microsoft Knowledge base:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=283673
283673 HOW TO: Enable or Disable Internet Connection Firewall in Windows XP

The computer not synchronized with time servers can occur if the Windows
Time service has been stopped manually. To resolve this issue, start the
Windows Time service as the below steps.

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click
Command Prompt.
2. Type "net start w32time" (without the quotation marks), and then press
Enter.

I hope that the above information is helpful.

Thank you for choosing Microsoft and have a nice day!
