RPC Error

Hi,
I am trying to logon to Windows 2003 Server using Remote Desktop installed
on my windows 2000 professional machine.I am getting following error
regularly - "The system cannot log you on due to following error: RPC server
is unavailable. Please try again or consult your system administrator".
I was not facing this problem earlier and has started occurring recently and
is happening on regular basis.
I am the system administrator of the domain to which the servers are
connected to and I believe it could be because of a virus or may be the
server needs a patch update.
Can someone throw somemore light on this and help me solving this issue.
Thanks/Regards

Hi,
As I am trying to login remotely using terminal services, I am not able to
login as well.Once I am successful in logging in, I can look into the event
log to know more about the problem.
Let me know if you can help me with an alternate to login remotely.

Hi,
I was able to check the event log from another server and I found one of the
error which I believe could be the cause.
Error is
"This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain
controller in domain RESULTINFRA due to the following:
The remote procedure call was cancelled.
This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is
connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain
administrator.
"
Can you help me out to resolve this.
What could be the reason for this error, any virus?
Kindly reply soon
Thanks/Regards

Can you post the EventID and Source of that event? That's how they
are searchable, like on EventID.net
http://www.eventid.net/search.asp or Microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/eventserrors.mspx
