RPC 1726 Error

Guys

I have a box which is trying to access a machine on a
remote network. The routing is setup correctly as I can
ping and tracert to the box.

When I try to "net view \\server" I get the remote
procedure call failed message. My client machine is
configured via DHCP as all clients are on my network
however two clients an XP and 2k SP4 machines can both
browse to this fine

thanks in advance.

P.S: this is really confusing and is getting quite
critical so swift replies would be appreciated

Is there a firewall between you and this 'remote' network. Pinging and
tracert do nothing for the connectivity of Netbios.

There is but two other machines on the same lan as my
client can access this box fine. Anf I can telnet to the
netbios RPC endpoints on the remote machine. It will let
me connect and I can even map a drive using net use but
it wont let me enumerate anything (I can't see anything
on the mapped drive either).

Cheers
