Roxio Recording Studio Driver Problem

L

Larry Harris

Sorry I can't be of help but I have the same problem for the past couple of years. I ran the "http://docs.roxio.com/patches/d2d3290.exe" and it did not help either. Hope someone has a solution.

Update:

Well the only thing in the registry that related to Roxio and that
pointed to something to run (an executable in this case) was an entry
for RoxioLiveShare. This is connected with Premier CD Burner or
something like that, which has long since been removed from my system.
So I zapped the entries (after creating a restore point and backing up
the keys because you never know with Winblows) and rebooted.

Compatibility problem is still occurring. It seems impossible to
track down.

Can anyone help?

Driver Blocked
I just got a new computer with Vista HOme Premium. Instaled WinonCD 3.0 and
computer displyed a balloon message:

Driver Blocked Due to Incompatibility issues

After closing the balloon, a message box pops up

Driver: CD Recording Software
Publisher: Roxio, Inc
Location: Not available

I uninstalled WinonCD, but the messages keep on appearing every time I boot
the computer. Is not a real big deal, after closing the baloon and the pop up
window they don't show up again, but is kind of annoying having to wait for
the damn message and turn it off.

I deleted anything having to do with WinonCD but the message still shows up,
and I have no idea how to locate the driver.
Any suggestions?

Try running msconfig, choose selective startup and uncheck any box referring

I had already tried installing the DLA patch linked to above, and
though it installs correctly, the problem still manifests. I didn't have
a single Roxio related app installed on my system that I know of--but I
did upgrade from XP, which is its own nightmarish story.

I had also tried looking through msconfig and also services.msc for
-anything- that could be linked to Roxio or DLA stuff--I could find
nothing.

I'm at a complete loss as to how to solve this problem. This
"Compatibility Assistant" doesn't provide much "Assistance" in that it
doesn't tell you what the name of the driver is (a piece of information
I could use to solve the problem quickly).

I guess my next step will be to do search the registry entire for any
mention of Roxio and see if I find a driver in there.

Any input would be wildly appreciated.
