Roxio error message. I don't use Roxio.

My machine has a CD-RW installed with Nero software.
All works ok , but!
When Windows starts I get a error which says-
Direct CD will cause windows to become unstable. Windows
has prevented this driver from loading.
Help & support centre then pops up with.

Select Start/Run command/type in: msconfig [OK]/select Startup Tab.
Review the startup applications listed there. Uncheck the DirectCD
startup applet and any other non-essential apps as well. Use this site
to identify startup apps:

Hi Mike,

This edit will remove the drivers listed in the article below that causes
the message:

Save the file below to your hard drive. Navigate to where you saved it and
double click the file. A confirmation dialog will appear when the script is
done. You may need to reboot for the change to take effect.

Restore CD/DVD in Explorer

Thanks for the help,
Quaoar's solution unfortunately did not work although the web link was
useful for the start-up info but my Roxio problem did not appear in the
start-up in MSCONFIG.
Kelly's solution looked hopeful from Microsoft, but as I gradually worked
through it none
of the files existed and neither did the Registry enteries until the final
line.
Delete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UdfReadr

Which I had.
Now all ok & thanks to you both for the reply.
