Row eight and row width

I want to print something out on paper but the print came out much smaller
than what I have on the screen! Apparently excel does not print to scale. It
is not WYSIWYG. Can I gever get excel to print to scale?

Another thing... my row width is 15.00 (110 pixels) and my row height is 15
(20 pixels) isn't that weird? Shouldn't it be Row width (110 pixels) and row
height (110 pixels)? If I have a picture that is exactly 5 inches on screen
how do I get it to print 5 inches on paper?

It is a little hard to comment on your printing problem, but i have never
experienced any issue with size unless I had set up to Print to pages wide /
pages High set to specific values.

OK so the website touched on row width but it did not mention anything about
row height. All I want to know is this:
If I drew a line in excel that is 5 inches long according to my ruler then i
print it out at a scale of 100%. it measures about 3 inches long. Why?

To make sure the line you drew is really five inches long, right click on it
and choose format... (probably autoshape). Click the size tab and check
those measurements. It's the screen that does not show things actual size,
not the print out. You cannot tell the size of something from how long it
measures on your monitor. To see the difference between actual size and
screen size, open Word and check your ruler against Words. You can adjust
your zoom to make it more equal, but the best way to draw a 5" line that
prints at 5" is to use the format dialog box.
If you have 2007, right click on the line and choose Size and properties...

In addition, the 15 you mentioned is pitch. Pitch 15 is a type size and does
not necessarily mean that the width and height will be the same. Different
fonts will have different measurements for different characters. Unless you
are using Cad/Cam, don't expect accurate measurements with computer screen
lengths and widths. And even Cad/Cam is questionable.

I see what you mean. I drew a five inch line using Autoshape but when I
printed it out it was measured at five and a quarter inches. So excel cannot
print to scale. I guess we have to wait until excel 2020 before microsoft
gets it right

In both excel 2003 and 2007, when i draw a line and set the measurement to 5"
and print... it is 5" on my print out.
There are some things that can change the length of a line after you set
it... adjusting the printout scale in page set up or adjusting the column
with of any column that line is over are a couple of examples.
If you want lines to print with exact measurements, add them after you're
happy with everything else so that you don't have to keep adjusting them
because you adjusted other stuff.
Be aware tho, that even printer preferences can, in some cases, make
adjustments in sizes when it prints, if you have a scaling or fit to page
option turned on and of course, Excel has no control over that.
