"Routing and Remote Access" doesn't allot LAN connect to Internet

Hi all..

I have a Server with Windows Server 2003 that is connected to Internet by
mean of a DSL connection (the first NIC is connected to the DSL modem). The
second NIC of this server is connected to a LAN.

At first, I used ICF and ICS. In this case, I had LAN adapter IP to be
dinamically assigned and for the Internet adapter I configured the static IP
192.168.0.1. All worked perfect.

Now I need more flexibility concerning ports management and routing, so I
tried it by configuring "Routing and Remote Access" present in Administrative
Tools menu.

When I started the wizard, it said that I must disable both ICF and ICS. So
I did it. Immediately after that, LAN got disconnected (a question mark
appeared on the icon in the tray bar) assigning the IP 0.0.0.0 to that NIC.
To bypass the problem, I manually assigned the IP 192.168.1.1 and it
apparently worked.

Then I run the "Routing and Remote Access" wizard again. When it asked me, I
chose the LAN NIC (I don't remember the exact question, but it is the only
place where I can choose a network adapter).

After that service was configured and executed by the wizard, the Server has
Internet connection, but PC's in my LAN don't. All LAN PC's do have
connection to the Server.

What may be wrong with my configuration?
Thanks a lot inadvance

Jaime

in this case, you may want to use NAT. also make sure ip routing is enabled.
