i am looking for a router for my laptop however my broadband connection is
with virgin and many routers do not appear to be compatible with it, can
anyone suggest a good one that will work, i did have a netgear one before but
after 24 hours it stopped working i presume because it was not for virgin
users any help would be great thanks

How are the routers not compatible?
Can you post documentation about this list of compatible routers?
Have you asked your ISP?

AFAIK - to most ISPs - all the router appears to be is a MAC address... I
think you just had 'bad luck' with the Netgear.
