Rotation of text and line together

Hello, all.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about how to create a line with
text that can be rotated together in PP 2003 besides grouping a text box with
a line? Visio has a nice "Text Line" feature that is exactly what I am
looking for in PP. Does PP have this same "Text Line" that I could download
from somewhere or is it already a feature in PP2003 that I just can't seem to
locate??

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!
Cheers,
Elf

I think I understand your question:

Have you tried Format > Font > Underline? Did that work?

Sandy - thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that won't work because I need
the line to be longer than the text and set at an angle. Picture a line
chart with writing along the lines to show which is which. Does that make
sense?

Like I said, I was able to create what I needed in Visio quite easily and
simply saved it as a .jpg to be brought into PP. However, what this person
wants is for it to be in PP as indiviudal "objects" that can be animated.
Grouping a text box with a line works okay, but just doesn't look nearly as
nice (when you start angling the group, the font of the text doesn't conform
nicely).

I think grouping the line and the textbox will be your best bet, but you're
right -- when it's rotated, the text won't look as good as an image of the
text.

Thanks to you all for the suggestions. For this purpose, I am going to use
the line/text box grouped together. However, if anyone happens to stumble
across a "Text Line" for PowerPoint that is like the one in Visio, drop me a
line! : )
