I just completed a new installation of winXP sp2 after many years of using
win98 and win98se. This was long over due, but I just couldn't stand the
compatibility issues and slow downs do to extra software loading.

ANYWAYS...

I use frontpage to run edit and maintain 2 websites. I backed up both of
their webfolders inside of my webs before abandoning win98se. Installed
winxp, installed office xp. Open frontpage, let it create a mywebs folder.
Closed frontpage. Put my backed up copies of my 2 websites into the mywebs
folder. They were immidiately recognized as websites and all was well unti I
went to the PREVIEW screen. Click on it and I try to navigate within my
website locally and none of the links do anything. The files are there. I've
hit save on some of them hoping that would fix it, but I can't navigate from
page to page locally like I could before with officexp on win98se.

Note, I'm on a new harddrive, so if there are other files I need to copy
over I can do that too. I noticed My Documents is located in a different
directory path in winxp then it is in win98se, but the files webpages are all
for the most part in the same directories, just nothing is loading. Please
help.

Cindy, this is normal when converting from folders to websites and
websites to folders. Links may be lost and your site quits
'working'. A better procedure is to publish your web sites to your
local folders. You can still do that and your relative links should
still work.
