Roman numeral numbering in Word?

Miranda

I am filing my dissertation, and all the prefatory material, such as
dedication, table of contents, acknowledgements and introduction must be
numbered using roman numerals instead of arabic numbers. Is there a way to
tell word to use roman numerals and number those pages in order, in the way
that I would do with the page number feature normally? Thanks!

Display the header or footer where the page number is. On the
Header/footer toolbar, click the page number format button - you'll find
what you want there.
