rollup 1 for win2k sp4

Computer connected fine via cable modem to earthlink prior to install of rollup 1. Now I can't connect. I have talked with earthlink tech support several times and no results. They say it's a MS issue. Anyone else had this problem or recomendations?

There were some issues with the first version of the roll up, and a
replacement has been issued. Perhaps uninstalling the first and install
the second would get you out of the jam?
