Rollover graphic sluggish in IE....

Hi-
I'm on Windows XP Pro, FP 2003, with Pentium 4, 1 GB
ddr ram. This is about a site I've mentioned earlier in a
different post: http://www.frankbright.com . I have the
piano navigation graphic (made with ImageReady) in a
shared border, and the rollovers work great browsing in
Netscape (on my computer), but on IE (on my computer),
they are very sluggish and slow to respond. If anybody
could test it out on their browser(s) as a "reality"
check, it would be great. I've tried it on my laptop and
they are very sluggish there with IE as well. Btw, I'm
referring to real browsing. In all browser previews (in
FP and ImageReady), it responds very well.
Is there any way I can improve it's responsiveness ?
I'm not a coder, so I know my options may be limited. I'd
love to find a way to keep this graphic. FP estimates the
download time of my homepage as 25 seconds on 28k, which
sounds pretty good to me. Any help is great. Many
Thanks,...Brightbelt

Nothing wrong with your rollovers, once the page finished loading.
The clock refers to images on your harddrive
<img name="JBOT1758050" src="file:///D:/My Documents/My Web
Sites/MYWEB11/digits/dg0.gif" >
and would not display until I moused over it. In my opinion clocks and date
displays on web pages are unnecessary candy - there is a perfectly good
digital clock in the bottom right corner of my monitor, which gives the date
as well.
Also, your Marquee is jerky, and hard to read.

They work fine from here. The piano nav is cool, but a little hard to read...maybe its the textures on the black keys...or my monitor.

Hi-
Thanks for the feedback. I have taken the clock and
dates off - I want the page to load as quickly as
possible. The marquee is FP generated and the properties
options are limited - I've played with different settings
adn nothing makes too much of a difference in the
jerkiness of it. I may go with a Fireworks animation.
Thanks,...Brightbelt

Hi-
Thanks for the Feedback. I may need to adjust the gamma
for macintosh monitors. I've tried doing the black keys
the real/regular way (just black) and it makes for a very
boring piano. Thanks,...Brightbelt

Warning Will Robinson...be prepared for a long and crazy session adjusting gamma! Make sure your eyes are well rested and you have a good supply of your favorite beverage...and no distractions.
