Rolling picture show

I would like to have a picture placeholder on one slide and populate the4
placeholder with four pictures that show for 5 secs each whereupon the
slideshow advances to the next slide. I've seen this done but can't find how
to do it in PP 2003

Julian,
If the pictures are the same size, insert them on top of each other. Then
animate them with an entrance effect in the custom animation task pane. The
first picture animated with previous the next three animated after previous
with a delay of 5 seconds (timings tab). Then on the slide transition task
pane put a transition time next to automatically after, you can leave 0:00
seconds there if you want, PPT will execute the animations first and then
transition.
