I'm trying to get my old Star Wars simulation games running. I've just
started with Rogue Squadron and am having controller issues. I'm running a
Saitek X45 USB with the latest drivers. Sometimes the controller loses
control. For example, going to the settings screen the cursor twitches and
takes forever to react. Occasionally in game play I'll crash and when the
new life is loaded the ship will just roll and crash into the ground. Also
on at least one occasion it would just fire as if the fire button were being
held down. I uninstalled the Thrustmaster game pad I had installed and the
only other controllers I have are my keyboard and Logitech USB mouse. I'm
running in Windows95 compatibility mode as lucasarts recommends but to be
honest, when it works it works better in normal mode.
My second question is; I had run across a website that listed older games
and their compatibility with WinXP. Does that site still exist? Where?
Thanks much,
