I have received 2 emails to my hotmail account, both
containing an attachment which I have not opened. Both
state that they have been returned from Mail Delivery
Subsystem <[email protected]>.However I never sent
the emails in the first place and I am the only one who
uses this pc! Can anybody advise?

Don't know what it is?
Has file attachments?

Delete.

The answer never changes.

I would recommend that you update your anti virus program
with the newest virus definitions. If you are using
outlook express or another e-mail program that downloads
your e-mail onto your computer that make sure your virus
program is scanning incoming mail. I have gotten e-mails
like this and would be willing to bet that it had a virus
attached to it. Probably either W32.swen. or W32 Netsky.
or one of their variants.
